Actually. Incorrect.
When you are purchasing from a computer with Vista incorporated, they will ONLY give you one version. You have to ask or pay extra for the 64-bit version.
Plus, it has been proven that the 64-bit version makes not difference whatsoever to games. To indexing and using specifically designed 64-bit programs it makes a huge difference. But for people who use Adobe PS and CS3. Think again. CS3 doesnt support 64-bit, so it will work the exact same as 32-bit Windows.

More RAM can hurt when you get 4GB. You can get 3GB and get the exact same performace for £50 cheaper. 4GB is just a waste, as 1GB goes down the drain.

I never said it did. But it will in the future when games start adopting it. But if it makes no difference, then why is 32 bit so good then? Why not get 16bit? 8bit? Why not use a stone tablet?!

You can ask for 64bit, for free.

Generalisation? You can't apply one example as a reason to justify an overall conclusion (Critical thinking A level )

And again, so what if it works the same as 32bit - does that make 32 bit worse?

Well then sell the bloody 1GB stick!

Come on this is ridicolous.

The rigs are the same.

For the first one, you get a £170 GFX Card.

For the second you loose the £170 GFX, gain a £80GFX. That leaves a £90 difference.

For that you get 2GB RAM - £50

22" Screen (Difference from 19 to 22) - £75.

Better warranty - Think website said £60 to upgrade to it.

A USB Wireless jobby - £Dunno, £10?

And some AV.

Now ignoring the cost of the AV and the USB (cos im nice) that leaves you in essence, gaining £185, minus the £90 difference

= Around £100 "free" stuff.

You still havent got the jist.
64-bit is the system which can cope with 4GB of RAM. It doesn't goble up 1GB.
That is why I kept mentioning the 32-bit version. It cannot.

I don't know why you keep saying this, 32 bit Vista DOES support 4 gb of ram its only XP that doesn't, 64 bit vista will support up to 128 gig of ram.

And i would say go for the second system and buy another 8600 if you find one is not enough (1 card will still run bf2 on max settings and get a steady 80-100 fps) and run them in sli this will give you almost identical if not slightly better performance than the 8800 gts

Get the second one, upgrade graphics if need be, the resolution of the screen will screw up the game.

See any problems with that, if it wasn't for the minimap going slightly elliptical you would never know
