Wikipedias server seems to suck...

Suppose you're talking about the Russians training dogs to run after tanks and instal some bombs one them.
Pretty harsh methods used on the eastfront

Would make a nice touch to BF2 though
Tomorrows technology, today. Tracking mines in 2007.
No need to wait till 2142!

Edit: Fuck, they trained them till 1996!

a PR addition for 0.6, Civi Class, but Allies should be able to attach dog food to things, ie, cars, tanks, people...

I think that in WW2 the Russians had the Idea of using dogs to run under tanks with explosives but had to cancel the project because they trained the dog on Russian tanks.

He is right, in 1942 they tried this tactic but it failed horribly because the dogs were trained on Russian tanks.

Now this is leet, from wiki:

In communications
Homing pigeons have seen use since the time of the French Revolution for carrying messages. They were employed for a similar purpose during the World War I. In WWII, experiments were performed in the use of the pigeon for guiding missiles, known as Project Pigeon. The pigeon was placed inside so that they could see out through a window. They were trained to peck at controls to the left or right, depending on the location of a target shape. See also: War pigeon.
