Heh, that happened to me the last time I visited the dentist. Can be kind of scary when your mouth is wide open and you can't shut itSniper-UK-Ghost wrote:
The thing is, it might be a teeth thing but might not, every so often my jaw locks up and i have to wiggle it around to make it click back into place..
well its the morning and its gone back to its normal self, just jops every odd couple of hours but doesnt hurt, that will do me
Look Sniper, This happened to me, my jaw would click every time i opened it slightly wide (more like a crack, audible across the room) And it would lock up, i went to the dentist, who recommended me to some specialty doctor, he had a special retainer made, which i wore for a month (nights only) now the problem is gone, and it really wasnt a issue.
same here just not a retainer but a thin mouth guard. I've had it for 2 years and that didn't work so i stopped. but I'm used to it now.[HOF]Mercenary wrote:

youre lucky then, how long ya been doing it/how old are you. it could be possible youre younger than me and hav a chance of saving yourself migranes in 10 years.Ryan wrote:
I grind my teeth all night long (according to my parents) and I have no issues. Weird.Schwarzelungen wrote:
i have the same thing...it kicks in every now and then. sucks big time...stop grinding (and clenching) your teeth as it puts too much unneeded pressure on the jaw muscles
i grind my teeth and clench them all the time while studying...my jaw clicks 90% of the time i open it.
sounds like something the doctor says i have, but i forgot what. i think he said TNJ or TMJ, something like that.
anyways, if its happened a lot over time, you've probably got a wear mark on your jaw bone. its snapping back in place, but rubbing the bone off as it does it.
how they fix it? they wire your jaw shut.
GO TO THE DENTIST!
