Look in the Welcome Center next to where your Video Card is listed. Does it show WDDM? If it does not show that, then that is one reason for not being able to run Glass. Check to make sure your color is set to 32 Bit. Check in "Window Color and Appearance" to make sure "Enable transparency" is checked. In "Window Color and Appearance" at the bottom click on "Open classic appearance properties" and check to see if "Windows Vista Aero" is listed. If you did an upgrade from XP go to Appearance Settings and click on Windows Classic and then apply and then see if "Windows Vista Aero" shows up.

uuhhh u just lost me. is it possiable to do a remote assist soo i can learn how to do this
Hmm i think i might have found something...
Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Performance Information and Tools -> Adjust Visual Effects
Now there is a whole bunch of performance options that Windows chooses according to your computer and some of them are necessary for Aero (such as transparent glass). Enable all of those and see what happens.
Also your computer might not be good enough...
My index is 5.6; 5.9; 5.9; 5.9; 5.8

im not seeing it in the c-panel
Is the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager service (lol windoes!) running? Aero is a Service.
Aero works on a base number of 2.0. All you need is 1GB RAM.Winston_Churchill wrote:
