That's cool ... but if you update the guide then it will all be in one place and people will get more from it. Too many people will not want to read through all the BS in this thread to find the good points ... but it's your definative guide.Ssandstorm wrote:

If you want to help others then update your guide as interested people comment on it and ignore those that are trying to ruffle your feathers. Otherwise the thread will get so full of crap people won't be interested anymore.

- Ssandstorms Definative Guide to Claymore Spamming.
Claymore spamming is a pretty lame way to get kills, and clay kamikaze is even worse. And by the way this guide is really just common sense, is it meant to be some kind of joke?
I do! I only have a few kills thought.

ugh. Failure.
Ssandstorm I hate you and your kind... but I will definitely use this to get my expert explosives <3
Claymores remind me of this guy and his products:

Yah, this is actually pretty decent info. I think the best tip would be to learn how to be a sniper team player. It's pathetic to know you placed a bad claymore and don't have a support kit nearby to replenish your ammo.
The claymore/ammo bag thing can be a pretty funny exploit in the game if you know what you're doing. Certain flag caps can be defended or make an almost perfect spawn point for a sniper squad leader who blocks off both routes to him/her by placing two good claymores. Keep in mind that a whole squad might go kamikaze and run through one killing 2 of them while the other four will come around and blast away. When that happens you got a few options and the best ones are the most cowardly I'm afraid but will probably keep you alive during your attempt to get 15+ kill streaks:
A. Run away. At the hotel on mashtuur there's a terrace with arched pillars in the back. It's hard to explain where exactly all the action is taking place but I will say you will be hiding under cover by the terrace. Once someone charges through be quick to toss down another clay and if someone rushes through just drop off the cliff and run for cover. YOU ARE A SNIPER! KILL THE INFIDEL!
B. There is no option B. Yeah, I'm a close up coward. I don't like fighting with the sniper kit up close unless I know for sure via UAV that it's only one dude. In this case, I would only stand and fight if I have the SVD sniper rifle. If not I'm running away.
P.S.- I think my kill streak is only up to 14 but I just got use to using the sniper kit. Wish me luck! Happy gaming!

Ssandstorm, this thread while informative isn't really anything new compared to the dozens of other sniper threads started in the past. However, I do commend you for writing up such a lengthy guide. I myself enjoy dropping claymores occasionally whenever i'm not "feelin' it" with the other kits.
As for Vilham,
Thanks for stating the obvious with the claymore K/D ratio. I've yet to figure out how this game works.

Making a claymore guide is like making a guide on how to breathe. Not neccessary.
let's see your numbers WHEN you've played the kit for 31 hours - THEN you can compare.Jalabad wrote:

ever noticed in war movies, how it's ALWAYS the sniper that's the hero and NEVER the medic...

For all those who want the expert explosive ordinance, this is what I believe is the best way to do it. Karkand-MEC. At the start of the round on your first spawn jihad jeep from the square. If you're lucky you will get 5 kills on the first rush. This is important because for the first minute or 2 there will be no one to kill with claymores as everyone is still just spawning. If you see a large group of enemy infantry take them out with C4, but if it's only 1 or 2 try to run them over and go for the enemy armour instead. Now, after the first jihad switch to sniper and claymore whore, taking advantage of as many tips as you can from my OP. Another tip is to actually pick when to spawn. By this I mean look at your minimap and UAV. If there are just a couple of enemy soldiers close to the hotel, but the rest are up the hill hold off spawning for a little bit. Wait until the 2 full squads of 6 are within striking distance of the hotel and then spawn. This will maximise your kills and limit your chances of dying through artillery etc. And don't simply give up after a couple of rounds. Stick at it until you succeed.
P.S. I will also be adding this to my guide in the OP. Yes there are other ways to get the badge, this is just my opinion of the best way.

This is also useful for any other kit.
When low on health or out of claymores/ammo look for a medic or supply kit laying around (from a dead soldier). You can change to that kit with "G" and throw down health or ammo. Then press "G" again to get your Sniper kit back.
This is also useful for reviving a medic. You will loose your sniper kit for a few moments but don't let that stop you from reviving your teammate. You can always pick up another Sniper kit. They are always laying around. I've never had to go more than a minute to get a kit back.
Thinking outside the box .... if everyone would swap kits with a fallen medic and revive them then your team would never lose. Aside from that ... the game would last longer and you could get even more kills overall with claymores or whatever. Just remember "G"/"6" that's "Swap kit"/"Paddles"
What I do is if someone revives me with MY medic Kit I'll pick-up whatever Kit is near-by, give the sniper/assault/whoever his kit back, then pick my Medic Kit back-up. This is normal game-play for a lot of the people I play with.
I played the kit for 128 hours on Abyss, and I have a 10.2 kd with claymores, you know why? Because I don't use claymores as my main weapons. Jalabad is my infantry whore account by the way.I_invented_BF2 wrote:

Cool T.Pike .... What server do you play on? Sounds like it would be fun to visit.... most people don't comprehend kit swapping let alone a 3-way swap to get everything back to originals .....T.Pike wrote:

Owned. Who's going to listen to someone who is only decent with one kit and one weapon. I'm decent with most weapons and kits, but you don't see me going around saying, "I'm better than everybody else becuase I can medic whore on Karkand." And if I recall correctly, you said in another thread that you don't revive snipers on Karkand and will even Tk those that claywhore. So much for a team player. Your kind are the reason BF2 is going downhill. Do yourself and BF2 a favor and go die in a fire, please.Jameseyy wrote:
