I walked into the computer lab at my highschool the other day and noticed a list of the "Top 10" fastest typers of that class the highest on the list was 87 and the lowest was 59.... i tried a little program that tells how fast you type and my GWAM(General Words A Minute) was 64... i was just wondering what most peoples typing speeds are here....

The last time I used a program like that, I was above 100, but just barely.
i average 55 to 65
I'm like 91. When I was in typing class. It was the highest in the class.

It depend on whether we can look or not. I can get 110 looking and about 35 without.

I'm quite fast, but if I type at maximum speed, I tend to press the surrounding keys and use the backspace a lot.
on typingtest.com, i average around 100WPM with a 98% accuracy.

About where I thought 65 wpm
I took that typing test, and got exactly 35. I didn't realize my educated guess was that accurate.

Back in HS I could touch type 80 WPM.
