I'd like to see a BF3 with no set time period. WWI & II, Vietnam, Modern day conflicts, and then go nuts in the future, maybe an alternate future, maybe before 2142, (it's naive to think that there will be peace for 150 years,) or beyond.
Lump 'em all together in one ultimate Battlefield game. That'd be awesome.
So, basically, a re-release of every previous BF game with a better engine?

I've wanted that for so long...

I can almost swear that I heard Bad Company was going to be the last Battlefield Game made.

The problem with WWI, is that it was just mostly waiting in trenches, and then when they finally got the orders, they all walked across no-mans land and got shot to ribbons.

I dont see how they could make an entertaining game out of that.

i hope novalogic takes over EA or something and get a mixture of JO /BF2 ... with a singleplayer story line ... i loved doing those BHD missions in the delta force series

but like said they r out of conflicts maybe ... so many wars/conflicts ...im sure they come up with something

BF2 is not dead !  The Next Battlefield ... i dunno we'll see ...

p.s. what Spidery_Yoda wrote ...well WWI is a possibility maps would not be too difficult to create and with having the vehicles and planes/boats/ships they had back in 1914 ... BF WWI can be made like BF2 ..why not ?
something for the Mods -makers perhaps

I still I don't understand why the Forgotten War /Korea remains forgotten in the world of gaming.
Korea == Massive Jungley Warfare

Until Crysis/next-gen engines come out, that's just not possible.

Definitely not.

My opinion: I would be happy with bf2.5 -- what we have now with better everything. Higher graphics, more destructible environments, less shitty "can't walk up a fucking sidewalk" code, better menus, etc.

For sure, i'd like to get some news from DICE to know what they are preparing to us.
One thing d'oh, Traumas Studio (the maker of Desert Combat mod) is no more working with them...
EA made a survey some time ago and 1st place was Future and second place was Cold War.
I think that an alternate story of the cold war gone wrong (i.e.:Nuclear incident creating WW3 conflict)
Could be fun.

Battlefield: The Border. showdown at mexico´s border.

Battlefield: HIGH TIMES. showdown vs nuclear powered drug dealers.

Battlefield: Welcome Home . knowing there´s no real threat outside anymore, the battle rages at home, the enemy is within.
