Well as you can see they clearly picked the first letter of every new word of the acronym Roy G. Biv (Red, Green, Blue) for the colors. Now they have to go back and use the remaining ones. So the next one is O. So it will be orange.

BF2: Red - Color associated with war
SF: Green - Night Vision
EF: Blue - European Union Flag
So yeah, if EA spent as much time on the game mechanics rather than the color of the 2's, we'd be better off.
Edit: Never gave my vote, I think Brown would be fitting of a tank.
