G36E is probably a better gun but if i fancy a change from stock i will use the L85, love getting headshots with it.

anyone who says g36e is a noob who has no skill...
Its down to preference when i first got the L85 i used it all the time,but i am now more used to the E.

I prefer the L85 because the G36 just on principle.
The G36 takes no skill to use and using it wont improve your skills with other weapons. If you can use weapons that deviate after the first shot properly then killing someone with an E shouldnt be hard.
Also because of the headshots you can get with teh L85, they are teh sex.

I don't know why everyone bashes burst fire. (M16 and G36E) I prefer using any burst fire weapon as it provides (me) more accuracy and conserves bullets. You'll saying that full-auto is useful in close range fire fights, and it is, but I can use one of the two said guns and be just as effective or more as an AK 101 or L8 and use less bullets. Just my two cents.
Just as a side note to the whole unlocks argument:
isn't it funny that half the people whining about certain guns being for noobs are complete failures at BF2 to begin with? Before you consider the AK-101 and M16 better guns just to fit in, you might want to try using easier ones so you can actually get some skill to begin with. THEN you can honestly say which you prefer.
