I dont know what the proper name it should be called but Im looking for a program that I can upload my MP3 files too. Like I have created a playlist and I want to email the playlist to my friend, I want the music to be able to be streamed though, only 20 or so songs. If you dont understand what Im saying just tell me and Ill attempt to make this easier to understand.
cant u just send ya m8 the playlist file
Winamp's Shoutcast? Only way I know to stream your music by sending a link/playlist to a friend.
The songs don't get sent, just the shoutcast link, their winamp runs and they can hear the songs being played on your winamp.

Ill try to explain this a little better. Have you ever been on someones myspace page that had a little play list box? IT was streaming music. A few people I know have them.
Heres a example of one you can use on your Myspace page: http://www.projectplaylist.com/
Would I be able to put that in a email and send that? And the music will automatically play when you click on a song?

You won't be able to email that. Not with either the logic (server controls) internally or linked to externally. Both of which are highly unlikely to transfer correctly. You could create the webspace, as is typical for this stuff, and then link to it in the mail but that is about it.Commie Killer wrote:

E-mail came out of the old teletype era and as such was never designed to use all the fancy web stuff we have today, just plain text or ASCII codes. Over the years we've tried to patch the email system but, as is proven by all the spam and virus activity, it is severly broken albeit functional.
We really do need a whole new communications system to replace email.
Yeah, it would be nice. Well. Is there anywhere I could find a program that would automatically download the music files, start up iTunes, select these songs, and play it? Shes not very computer smart. AIM and Myspace is about all she knows.ReTox wrote:

If not, is there anyway I can stream this music through a email to her? For free? Or if its impossible to stream through email, can someone direct me somewhere that I can create my own web page quickly, easily, and free?
Came up with a idea. If someone can show me a website where I can upload a file, would I be able to upload the file straight from iTunes and make the link downloadable, so as soon as she has finished downloading it, she can just click on the file and it would automatically open it through iTunes?
If all you need is some web space there are many free services that offer 100 MB or so (usually enough for a full CD of MP3) but be sure to read the EULA for any of these services, sharing music could be a breach and they are likely to be a-holes about it in this day and age.Commie Killer wrote:

The actual "sharing" is usually done with an FTP program (File Transfer Protocol) where you log in and then upload the files you want to make available. Some providers may even have web site creation tools that allow you to upload files in much the same fashion.
Good luck.
I haven't used any free services in sometime, maybe someone could chime in with some ideas for decent free web providers?
