I love being a terrible commander, constantly spamming "Negative", artying our own team, vehicle dropping for other team, but always saying stuff like "Sorry! Mouse glitched!" "Whoops, i thought i was on MEC!"
And playing the Muppet theme song in the commander mic, or burping constantly, either are hilarious.

- Yes i actually enjoy being commander!
What is worst then no Commander is a Commander who doesn't use his assets or take care of his/her troops. I think I was with a bunch of kids last night.....half the team was at the airfield TKing each for the J-10, commander was busy sniping.....ignoring requests, and ppl texting smack to each other.
Sounds like tons of fun!loubot wrote:

and that is why you should be Engineer as commander, no one EVER repairs your assetsS.Lythberg wrote:

yeah you rarely would have people comment on good commanding, they usually complain.
one time i told a squad to repair the UAV trailer, they were almost there and then asked for a UAV. it would have said to them that it wasnt availible, but he continued to shout over VOIP asking for a UAV, then he tried to mutiny me.
Squad 1:"Enemy activity, requesting a barrage"
Squad 2:"Requesting UAV overflight"
Squad 3:"This commander sux"
Squad 1:"Requesting UAV overflight"
Me:
3 votes for mutiny, 11 votes are needed.
Me:"jack ass"
we've all been there...
also, i'm ususally commander when i have something else to do, like laundry, so i can get points without doing anything
whee!!

that´s a normal round over there, LOL
Or, zoom in and drop a supply crate next to the asset to be repaired. But before doing that, make sure the enemy (or enemies) that destroyed the assets aren't in the area, otherwise they're going to help themselves to the supply crate, then blow up the asset again after it's been fixed.genius_man16 wrote:

Yeah as you said, no one repairs the assets so the best sure fire way of getting them back online is to supply drop next to them. I think thats one of the reasons why people dont bother, because they know that youre gonna end up being forced to supply drop. Of course the downside of that is you neglect supplying your troops on the frontline (and I hate neglecting my troops!).
Awesome I always thank the decent commanders Good job!mr. LuxusLexus wrote:
I don`t get it, often when i enter a match i see that my team has no commander, i usually apply - and what happens? someone for no reason starts a vote against you - i try to do a pretty good job as commander, helping my team the best way i can. Often i get ignored, but today something nice actually happened. At the end of the round (my team was winning) one guy actually got on the Com's and said: "good job commander"
Damn it`s nice to play on servers where people are nice to each other instead of the usual kick votes and fuck you and smacktard this and smacktard that.
Hm. I like commanding as well, but after the second round in a row of minding the battle, I tend to say screwit, resign the post, and just get stuck in fighting.
I just love the feeling of spotting a red dot and seeing a blue dot move in to kill it, or a swarm of blue dots fending off the red dots. And setting arty strikes off on clusters of red blobs and watching them extinguish, or zooming in to watch the bodies fly.
Hell, even the 'thanks' messages from squads given cars or supplies or (occasionally) UAVs are good.
And there's the joy of setting up a meatgrinder that you're steadily winning, then zooming in to spot the nasties and watching everyone scurry like ants.
Then blowing the crap out of them with artillery. Kekekekeke.

It's a good idea to only order a squad that actually has engineers in them to go and repair the assets. They also shouldn't be flying.
I usually give squads targets that are near their squad leader, they're more likely to agree with me that way.globefish23 wrote:

hah, for a while i had more commander points than i had combat points. but, then it switched and i have to fix it
Commander is awesome... Dropping arty and zooming in to watch the bodies fly... now thats fun... Great way to get combat badges as well... While it's true you dont get points for arty kills you do get kit credit for the kills and thus will get a basic/vet or even expert Badge if you get the right amount of arty kills. Also a great way to rack up vehicle time... Drop a vehicle for yourself and drive under cover and command from the drivers seat.
Still in the hunt for your Ground/Air Defense badges... Easy... Commander on the Essex and drop arty like crazy while sitting in the air defense guns. Or commander on Kark as USMC at the Gas Station hop into the Mounted MG and start dropping arty like a madman.
Karma Please.

Yeah thats one way of getting the badges. Still each to their own, i prefered to get my ground defense and air defense the proper way: by shooting planes down etc... Getting it the Commander way is a bit cheap but anyways...nevermindsyntaxmax642 wrote:
