Well I'm pretty confused at the moment, how many players does it need for a game to start.
I remember something like:

16 players -> 6
32 players -> 8
64 players -> 8

Does that mean: 16 player maps need 6 to start, or just any map with 16-31 players need 6 and from 32 or above you need 8?

Or am I totally wrong and can you have on 32 maps/32 players also 6 players to start? (like someone told me)

Is there anyone who knows FOR SURE what the correct players to start amount is and what they exactly mean by it?

16 slots server -> 6 players to start
32 slots server -> 6 players to start
Anything about 32 slots -> 8 up to 10 (I believe) player to start.

Adjust the minimum number of players to start the round.The new values for 16, 32 and 64 players are 6, 6 and 8 respectively.

The number to start and maintain a "ranked" game is based upon the server's maximum number of players, and not the size of the map:

32 or fewer player maximum:  6
33 or more player maximum: 8

(The player maximum is set in BF2CC >> Settings >> General >> Maximum Players).

This used to be the case, I believe ... but it was changed by EA with patch 1.40.
