Should your Main weapon have more ammunition?

I just want to know what you think, I personally say yes! We get only 5 clips on average in our main gun and 8 for the pistol, Am i missing something here? Should'nt the main weapons have more ammo? I mean we all cant be support gunners and have an endless resupply of ammo. I cant tell you how many times i have run dry in the middle of a firefight on ghost, Or how many times i've gotten owned by a guy with a submachine gun cause my main gun ran out. In PR we get 9 clips on average and thats awesome because it forces you to stay alive longer, Not like in reg bf2 where its shoot all your ammo, die, respawn, repeat. Tell me what you guys think.

Only gun that needs more is the G3, that thing seems to run dry in seconds the rest seem ok to me.

Sniper rifles could do with an extra clip imo, i frequently run out of ammo with those

I think that snipers should have more mags, thats for sure.

Maybe engineers too. Those pump action shotties go dry quickly.

rofl.... i don't usually get past 1 magazine before i die.... i can't sniper

I dont think there should be any more ammo per kit, but i think they should bring back the static ammo boxes (and health...)

Or maybe the commander could hve a separate ammo crate, that is quicker to reload than the supply crate?

Anyways, I think that everything is fine. Anyone who disagrees... well have you heard what pressing the 'g' button does? You can pick up other kits. Like for example if I kill an MEC medic, I'll grab the kit and hope for the AK-101.

SO ya... usually you run out of bullets 'cause you are killing people. So just grab their kit and teabag them.

Yes, all the time, but if you start changing the number of magazines of specific kits, then you run the risk of kit-unbalance, which i really cba'd with at the age of this game....

And all the good players have to have some weakness... if thye end up with 15 magazines, how will the nOObs ever kill them? blanaced enough as it is.

just pick up the kits of downed enemies... infinite ammo!

if i remember correctly, nastybutler wrote a guide about picking up kits during intense cqb's, as opposed to reloading. i totally agree with that idea, as it's much faster and more efficient.

It is, but atm i have a ~20% chance of a CTD every time i pick up a kit.

I've never ran totally dry simply because I play smart, and I play with good teams and their is always ammo for me to use. Also, I have been blessed with on the spot commanders. So no, 5 clips is plenty, I only take like 4 or 5 shots per guy, so I don't know, if I ran dry thats lots of kills...

Exactly! Why set it like that? Is it so we can earn pistol badges?(I just got my veteran one today on hbd ghost! ) And what also pisses me off is that the pistol sometimes is better then the assault rifle in cqc confrontations. I shit you not right now i was chasing an S.A.S. sniper with my ak101 he turns around pulls a pistol and gets me in the head twice. Is it because the pistol has barely any recoil? Or what?

It's because your head is fat

Seriously though, if the pistol was completely unable to get lucky headshot kills there'd be no use for it at all.

If it does damage, someone's eventually gonna get lucky and rape you with it.

EA intended it teamwork with the support and medics. But there obviously is none which is why you dont have quite as much ammo.

A 'standard' combat load for an American soldier with an M-16A2 is 210 rounds, which is seven magazines. Usually, they try their best to carry as much more than that as possible. I have seen infantrymen with 10-12 magazines.
