Why am i getting a low frame rate?

With this system... it's a friends, so don't kill me if I don't know exactly what's in it.

2 GB RAM
3 Ghz C2D processor
Radeon X600 gpu
integrated audio

drivers are all up to date as far as i know...
I'm playing on low settings and still getting an awful frame rate.

also, on this system, Black and White 2 runs incredibly choppy. The mouse is practically uncontrollable because it's so frame-y.

That's a 256mb x600, not 128

Agreed. That's an awesome processor, but the gfx is holding it back. Get something more recent like a x1950 or a 8800GTS.
