I just probably had my most enjoyable game of bf2 last night. It was wake island, and even though there were J-10s flying around, surprisingly the top guy didn't have that many points, relative to what i see normally.
Anyway, i was on the usmc side, and I joined at about 30 tickets into the game. The US (surprise) had failed to capture any flags so far. So this guy and me got on both the essexes and blew the shit out of the J10s. That left time for one jet and the heli to get off the carrier.
So we captured north base and was in a jeep with a squad zooming to airfield. The attack chopper suddenly loomed out of nowhere and we somehow missed all its bullets and missiles and just managed to get to the airfield flag. I had an M95 at this point. When we captured that I saw a shape running from the igla to the F18. I waited till he got inside, and he had just started to accelerate, BOOM! Jet grinds to a halt and I get a kill
Inevitably, the airfield was captured again and we were pushed back to the north base. The attack chopper comes again and makes a low strafing pass. It tilts and comes back towards us. At this point the chopper was circling, so i lay down, accounted for it's speed, zoomed in and took a potshot. Got him. The gunner was alive, but not after the chopper spanout of control and smacked into the tree.
After many failed attempts to recapture the airfield the chopper comes back. Again, thinking I might get lucky I take a potshot and miss. This time he saw me and comes really close so the gunner can rape me head on. Bang, once again the pilot dies and the gunner is left amazed while it spins out of control and this time smacks the building.
All in all, I have never experienced 3 cockpit kills in a round before and it was an amazing feeling of ownage. The pilot was a colonel I got a gold star for all the kills, flags and assists. Not one claymore kill yeeeha!
