so i have vista ultimate but it seems to be gettin alittle laggy in game....especially with 2142....so are these ratings bad or good...and i dont have much money at all but what should i upgrade first if/when i have the money?

im in the process of gettin my first real job at a marketing/advertising firm....so i will probalby have money in the near future, its just have have $40,000 in loans to pay off and i need to start saving for things....so...keep the suggestions within reason.

but yeah, vista+bf2142=lag
more ram or a better gfx card would help some.

Is the score out of 10?

your computer says the processor is the problem.

I was thinkin of gettin a core 2 due e6600...but like i said, i just do not have the money for that right now, and with me in the process of gettin a job, i need to start investing in more suits and what not cuz i have to wear a suit and tie everyday. But i do want to upgrade my computer before i get left behind.

yea i saw that...i think thats the route im gonna have to take, i would just buy a bundle (mobo and e6400/e6600) but i need a motherboard that will fix my case...i think i have a mid size case and have a micro board in there (Asus A8N-VM). The problem is, i know im goin to have to upgrade the ram once i get a new board...and then its just a snowball effect.

Mine wins by a bit

I'd say maybe try overclocking your processor or buying a new one. Overclocking brought my processor score up about .8 on the WEI

i dont care if peoples computers are better than mine, thats not the problem...its just annoying trying to play the few games i play already and my computer lags whether due to vista or what have you.

Secondly, I do not know how to over clock.

Slow down there, I was just kidding... I just got this 2 months ago and before that I had a PC that scored 159 in 3DMark06. I had no idea how to overclock either but I just googled "overclocking 6600 on 680i" and I found a few good guides on how to do it, step by step. Once you learn how, its really not that hard to overclock your CPU.

Edit: You might want to try closing a bunch of background tasks, Vista starts with about 20 and I bring it to 6 or so when I play games

You people know nothing. As of now, Vista ratings don't go over 6.7 I believe. So yes, that is a good score. I got 2.3 on my old computer.
It should run 2142 fine. If not, grab a 2GB memory stick ( good one ) and plug it and then use readyboost.
