Other than the obvious what are some things to look for when you think someone is hacking. Like what should i look for in the demos? Especially for the hacks that arn't caught by punkbuster, or PBSS. There have been some things that look suspicious, but I can't tell for sure. There are very few people that I think hack, heck with some of the lucky stuff I have pulled off over my time in BF2 it has to really be over the top for it to come up on my radar. So I am not just thinking because someone is better than me that they hack, or even just a couple lucky shots.

- What do you look for when you think someone is hacking?
1. Constant kills with the same weapon in a row when they are supposed to be out of ammo.(That means headshot aimbot)
2. Hiding behind enemy lines and not attacking while uav/supplies/vehicles/arty are being deployed in that area.(commander hacks)
3. Always knowing when to go dive around a corner.(X-ray vision hack)
4. In armor always backing up when an rpg rocket is coming and letting it crash into the ground, Or with Laser guided missles it somehow explodes before them giving no damage.(Lock on hack and Avoidance hack)
5. Facing a wall with either an Svd,G3,L85,AK47, or any other gun which deals one hit kill headshots.(Wall hack to the extreme!)

Well i suppose the most incriminating evidence is when they lock onto players behind walls, or flick onto players behind them/out of their field of vision.
Now i know people with v.high mouse sensitivity can turn very quickly, but there's a difference between turning quickly and instantly looking at players heads.
I'm also the last person to call 'hacker!' (i've only met one person i was sure was cheating in my 500hrs of playing), but i've seen a few from demo's and videos online where i was sure people have been using hacks.

good aim, no knowledge of how to move, and too accurate knowledge of where you are.
Killing five guys within 3 seconds of eachother at 70 meters with the AK-101 and not having to reload.
We had a guy like that on my clan's server once. We got PB shots and banned him. He now has 0 score.

Call em out. No answer? Begin to think.
svd going... boom boom boom boom boom within a fraction of a second.

when someone kills my clan mate who is in the uncap (karkand) with a svd sitting on the square rooftop i know he's a hacker..
and other things like being the first one to fire at an enemy without the enemy being spotted.

No, the correct answer is:Shem wrote:

SVD going Bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-bo-boom-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-he-headshot! In the fraction of a microsecond.
4c3tt is a known SVD hacker. He once killed three guys with his SVD in under a second on Sharqi. I was there... My buddy has a screenshot. I'll see if we can find it...
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
The worst is when a clearly already skilled player gets a hack. Come up against at least 1 who would have been decent competition without his wall-hack..... with it, its just painful. still, I managed to outsnipe him though we killed each other at the same time with my kill registering first so I'm not so sure he used an aimbot, but its funny, he called me out for hacking... nubsSargeV1.4 wrote:

Sometimes you can get 3 kills in 0.5 secs legit with an SVD, so don't base it on one occurrence, if they do it consistently, then it becomes more likely.

When I kill someone, it must be them hacking themselves to make them giant and weak. I'm a lover, not a fighter.
If they have killed me at least once in a round, usually means they are hacking.
If they blow up your tank with a knife
If they shoot down your j-10 with Mig on wake island
If they are floating into the sky
If they are invisible
If they throw knives at you
If your sitting in a tank and they kill you with a pistol
Now that is how you tell.

could be UAV tho?David.Podedworny wrote:

A score like Mr. FieldhunterSC. Most of his kills were LMG, he glitched though.
Another server?

1. Aiming. I am pretty good with the MP7 in the HS department. So that is bullshit.David.Podedworny wrote:

2. -
3. Could be the UAV, or a sense of timing.
4. That could be evading skills of the pilot/driver.
5. That is offcourse undeniable.
1. No such thing. It does not exist, aimbots only aim for you they dont give you ammo that you do not have.David.Podedworny wrote:

2. Most likely true
3. I know pro players that can do that. There are plenty of factors here, sound, someone spotting them over teamspeak or something, or just common sense.
4. No such thing again. I dont know where you get these crazy ideas.
5. No such thing AGAIN. You can NOT shoot through walls at all. No hack will do this for you.
Hacks and Aimbots just exploit the game. You cant fire through walls or shoot with no ammo in your gun at all or have "avoidance hacks" thats just the dumbest thing I have ever heard and you can NOT get a headshot every time, this is a myth, bullet drop, spread, and recoil still apply and there arent any undetected hacks that have that. Anyone who tells you this is a retard. Ill tell you how to find a REAL hacker.
1. If they have autoswitch on its obvious, just wait for a snap through a wall onto someones head.
2. Spamming the SVD and getting a few kills, you can not get a headshot every time with the SVD you are bound to miss alot spamming like that
3. Its really tricky saying that someone with a ton of kills and no deaths is a hacker. Sometimes they are really good, sometimes they are hacking. You have to be sure to be positive before banning them and making yourself look like a retard when they prove they arent hacking.
4. PBSS, this is a no brainer here but there are at least 2 hacks on the market with PBSS cleaner that gives a perfectly normal clean screenshot. Also PBSS fails 80% of the time because PB sucks, so if you get a black screenshot on someone he might not be hacking and you will have to see how godlike he played.
5. A ton of vehicles/supply crates drop in one spot. You have 0 control of yourself while doing this so you cant move and just stand there looking at something maybe moving back and forth or sideways. It really takes a trained eye to spot the hacker and some clueless dude looking and wondering wtf is happening. You could always PBSS the guy you think is doing it but you have to be fast enough so you can catch them with the little menu open (not the commander screen, the T screen).
When someone kills you in Bf2= Hacker
loads of kills (Like 40) without deaths or 1 death as like a wall hack so i keep a close eye

Interesting thread.
The things I wonder about, all of which would be hard or impossible to spot:
1. Trigger bot.
2. Low-threshold aimbot (5 pixels or less).
3. Forced minimum deviation regardless of stance.
I know for a fact that the first is possible, don't know if there are any for BF2 though.
For no. 2 this should be possible... if you can make a functioning aimbot, which we know there are, you can adjust its settings (to prevent 180° spins to lock onto the nearest enemy, which is a total giveaway)... and this IS available for aimbots in other games, so there's no question it's technically feasible.
Don't know whether the last one is actually possible but I just heard of it recently and it could account for some things that make you go "Hmmmm." ...standing full-auto ownage with LMGs against targets at range (which I've seen/thought I've seen a few times) and as we know this should be impossible except as a fluke.
