BF2S Forums What do you look for when you think someone is hacking?

That deadsquirrel vid is extremely suspicious. I know that when I shoot like he does with the AK-101, I don't get that many hits that quickly, and that accurately and that range, even with static targets. My aim is perfectly fine with static targets.

Yes there is, There are many different kinds of aimbots. Recoil less and Spread less aswell.

Dude you wanna know why i say its a hack? Because on kark i'm on top of the freakin hotel the apc is below me next to the square mounted mg, It's comin towards the hotel, I fire off a SRAW round, And it blows i dont see the crosshair that shows up after you hit something, I'm like wtf? CS hacks are a plenty, Bf2 not so much, Never played fear so i cant say.

No recoil/spread isnt really what it seems its just the gun snapping to the head or whatever body part its set to aim at over and over so it just looks like it but the bullet deviation is still there. As far as I know there is no hack that blows up SRAWs in midair over and over. Maybe the guy was jumping out and repairing so you didnt get the hitmarker and some servers turn that off. The way you describe it its not a hack. Hacks in FEAR involve pressing a button and killing the entire other team, killing enemies without using bullets, god mode, infinite ammo flying out of the guns like infinite repeating cannon or throwing 999999999999 nades at once causing extreme lag, forcing the server to deathmatch, banning admins and players, etc. But they are very expensive.

As for what I look for, usually someone hitting people from beyond veiw distance while they are running consistantly.... sniping of course.
as for the rest, I look for punkbuster screen shots.
I did see a guy with the DAO-12 making multiple 30m+ kills with the same clip consistantly one time, along with some pretty suspicious rpg kills, and then one of the admin on the server said he spawned at a nutralized flag in front of him... he said he spawned on his squad leader, but he was the commander, so...

Anyways, the only time I've called someone for a hack is when he killed 14 people with one clip of the SVD.  All consecutively mind you.

Yea because a 10 round clip can kill 14 people... You cant even kill 10 people with one clip, you are BOUND to miss at least 3 or 4 shots.

Hmm, Anyway, if any of u guys love to get called a hack and u r of a certain standard, u r almost guranteed to be called a hack or something blablabla in GAMEARENA SF Server....not sure for the rest of the servers. Most of the good aus players stay away from SF server anyway....

This doesn't make sense.  Whenever I get accused of hacking when I'm on a roll, I just ignore them completely.

For the OP, if it's not my server, I either just ignore the hacker and play on, or if I think they are doing so well as to encroach on my gameplay, I just leave the server.  No hacking accusations, no whining, I just walk away.  1 less person giving the potential hacker points and entertainment.

If it's my server, I would watch their behavior and kick them if I see not normal behavior.  Things I've seen that I'd kick or ban for: 

-commander hack, if you can see the person that's doing it
-faster than normal player movement
-respawning after being killed right by their body or right on top of you (an enemy), multiple times
-one shot kills with pistols (I only saw this happen once on a different server and I didn't stick around to investigate)


Most of the other suspect activity I don't find justifiable enough to kick or ban over, and I don't see the possible hacker as too much to overcome and kill.

After all, there will always be people better than you at this game.

I don't get it.  Will someone explain to me how an EDITED video of someone killing 1,2 or 3 guys at a time is evidence for or against hacking, or even evidence that they are a good player?!  I'll give you a hint, I can play a whole round and go 10 k, 40d and edit it to be me killing 10 guys in a row.  Woohoo.  That video was a waste of my time.  He's not hacking, the vid doesn't even prove he's a good player.

Wow, I just read the dead squirrel thing. That does not show hacks anywhere. His gun snaps to that wall after he shoots the AT guy because of a lag spike. Notice how his gun is pointing downwards toward the wall. Umm, He locked on to a guy Inside the wall? Leg aimbot anyone? Because if you follow his guns trajectory it won't go all the way to the other side of the wall. The dude has a good shot. I pull the same amount of shit he does when I get good FPS.

I've done way better shots than in deadsquirrel's video. Double headshots, headshots while they're running perpendicular to me. Turn around the corner headshots. BF2 is a random ass game.

i never said that he hacked just that alot of good people thought that he hacks when from the video he looks legit

As for Shadow_ownz me and that guy have had some intense arguments. But, I think he is the most common hacker there is....
