When I plug my iPod in, my computer tells me that my USB ports aren't High Speed and 2.0.  My iPod doesn't update either (I think because of that reason).

I have a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo.  Please help me out.

What about firewire, as an alternative?

Blow the bottom of the cartridge.

You may need to do something with drivers? I can't think of anything else. And it's probably not even the right solution.

I only suggest it because I have 4 usb ports on my monitor and my computer kept telling me that the usb ports are running slow and could be able to speed up if I installed some drivers. Searched the web for my monitor and found the drivers and now I my usb 2.0 on my monitor are working fine.

I wish such a simple solution still existed.  Blow the dust from the game cartridge for the Mage Drive...job done, Fanny's your aunt.

I'll look for drivers, thanks mtb0minime.

Reinstall your usb drivers, that should fix them.

You should also go into your BIOS and make sure your USB speed isn't set at 1.1 speeds.  Every mobo I've seen that has USB 2.0 has an option in the BIOS to change them to 1.1 or disabled.

I got them working, thanks to all who helped.

I had to scan my system for changes under USB in System Management, and I restored my iPod.  Worked like a charm.
