From the 10 minutes I've been using this it doesn't seem any faster than FF.
Those claims its 1.6x faster seem pretty rubbish at the moment (although it is a Beta).
EDIT: I can't even log in to this beloved site using it!

As always Apples performance measurements are way off. I have to say this is a rather "meh" moment. Still nice find though

Dear Lord, that was slow.
Well, HTML speeds, fine.
Anything else was terrible.
Terrifically choppy, and Firefox just seems less tied-in and proprietary.
Also, customisation doesn't seem to be an option.
Nice for a built in browser with Macs (better than IE7 for sure, but that isn't too hard) - but just can't compare for those who require that bit more from their browser.
Sorry, Apple, but this is niche for Windows - and may even see itself superseeded by Firefox on Macs in the future...

Pretty crappy so far. First off, Apple lied, it is NOT Vista compatible. Make it 64-bit before talking about Vista compatible.
Second, it was as wonky as iTunes (which is badly in need of being Vista-compatible my MICROSOFT'S standards, not lazy programmer's standards). It sort of "materialized" on the screen rather than cleanly presenting itself on the screen like Firefox. It took long to load the Apple page.
AND THE WORST, MOST UNEXCUSABLE PART: BF2S LOOKS LIKE SHIT. On the home page, most of the text is fucking bolded beyond all belief. Sorry Apple, come back when it really is Vista compatible and it doesn't fuck up webpages like IE does.

yea bf2s never worked for me with safari, i use firefox even on my mac, but i really like the look of safari.
