Weeeeell, as we all know the 1.2 is going to make the nade launchers bounce from the walls(i mean nades, not the guns itself ). But in an addition to that, i want to see them bounce of from GROUND. That would be like so awesome. If someone tries to toob you from too near, it would just bounce somewhere far away.

Wouldnt that be great?

nahhh what is going to be fun is to kill people just with the nade from the launcher... not the explosion.. but the nade itself... i wonder what damage the nade will do .. its shoot out.. so it should do some damage....
and another thing... think its going to be fun playing karkand against a full troop of assault ... i just se before me a rain of nades.... hehe... lol

I swear my nade launcher round bounced off an enemy humvee a while back. The smoke trail went in a Mcdonalds M shape on the roof of the hmmvw

after you fire it, it has to go a certain distance before it can explode, and if it doesnt go far enough it will just bounce off


unless its a direct hit to a person i believe

Look in real life the gl has a timing mechanism so that the nade wont explode too close to the soldier firing.

The nade spins a certain amount off rotations before being armed and ready to explode. Therefore when you meet an assualt from close range they wont be able to use the gl it will just bounce they will have to use the gun. Making it only usefull from long distances or shooting over bunkers and such WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR!!!

Americas army has this right and bf2 will be getting this soon.

At any rate, remeber how they have "fixed/improved" AA like four times now? Well this is there first attempt at the GL. The thing to note is that Assault class will still carry the GL open as their primary weapon, regardless of terrain/objective/whatever and that tells you how strong it still is. When Assault class moves to actually using their gun, and bringing out the GL when they have a long range target is when I think it will be balanced; as long as you can keep the GL as you're primary weapon and still kick ass then something is wrong if we want to argue about "fairness."

Also you notice in the video when he actually gets a long range target he switches to his gun instead of his nade launcher. He's really quite good at his setup, using the GL for close easy kills where you're aim is better. Switch to gun after you tube once and switch to gun for longer range stuff for accuracy. It makes sense to me, but it seems to reverse the role of a GL. In real life I wouldn't be shooting a grenade 10 feet in front of me lol.

The nade launcher is a pretty simple fix for EA they just havn't figured it out yet....

Look at the tank, you can't shoot it above or below a certain tragectory b/c you simply can't point it in that direction... I think the zip line is similar not sure.

Anyways if you'd only allow the player to shoot between 10 degree down angle and a 90 degree up angle (Straight up) I think this would slove most problems.

This would force the GL to be fired a min distance away from the player, its not perfect but hey it's still a game.

man i can't wait, last night the only way I was killed was w/ the noob tube! they were flying left and right.  I finally quit after 5 rounds.  couldn't take it.  I never minded the noob tube until the patch was announced.  It seems everyone is trying to get what they can out of it before it goes away.

I dont want them bouncing like crazy. Just like once only. It would just help with the people coming around the corners and jumping backwards and firing a nade.

I have a feeling it's going to be something like the Tear Gas... that bounces... but it bounces more than what I expect the GL to do. Mainly because the GL has more velocity. but either way, if it doesn't blow up on impact, it's all good.

I'll like grenade launchers when you can shoot one into somebody's chest and knock them over just from the impact alone...before the explosion.

I sure as hell hope that I can still use them 'Predator-style' to take out snipers on top of buildings.

You can kill people with a hand grenade without the explosion. I've thrown one at someone down the stairs on Sharqi, the actual grenade itself hit them and they died, it then exploded 2 seconds later.

That's what will happen, it's like in real life, it has to go 30 feet for the fuse to hit or it'll just bounce.
