Damn it, I'm still trying to think if I should get the Striker Extreme or the P35-DQ6!
Arggh!

The problem troubling me:

- I wanna run an 8800GTX and a underclocked 6800ULTRA (which I have now) to support 3 screens NOT IN SLI (obviously). I know the Striker Extreme can support this, but what about the P35-DQ6? I know the p35 supports Crossfire and not SLI, but will I be able to run 2 Nvidia cards not in SLI?

So... if the DQ6 supports two nvidia cards not in sli, then I should get it, because the Striker Extreme IMO is not as futureproof, even though they both support DDR2 only.

If it doesn't support SLI, I don't think you'll be able to run two nvidia cards. Now why something would support Crossfire and not SLI, I'm not sure. Could you provide links to both motherboards?

Striker extreme. It's way better imo.

I just googled it and it looks like they won't be running in SLI but you can get the three monitors like you wanted. What exactly is the monitor configuration you're going for?

To run two Nvidia cards you need a board that supports Sli......so thats the Gigabyte out of the question.

The Striker Extreme is just a tarted up P5N32-E.

Be my guest if you want to waste a bit of money, but the best option is to go for the P5N32-E, if you definetly want Sli.

And I'm not sure but dont you have to have two cards of the same type for Sli?

You should be ok on either board. Personally I'd go with the Striker Extreme, though it's a bit pricey.
