Revert to the original version of BF2 to join?

I 've been playing on this server for a couple of hours and then recieved this message when the new round began..."Revert to the original version of BF2 to join"

I also got promoted twice on 2 different servers. Is EA having problems or is it possible for someone to hack your game and screw with files?

Manually update punkbuster, and repatch your bf2.
