Especially if his viewpoint involves religion. No one has ever convinced a religious person they're wrong and it will never happen. The ONLY person who could convince them god doesn't exist is Jesus.

A story to share: Just last friday on the bus I was just wearing "tiger strip" camoflage pants, a jungle pattern shirt, bonnie hat, and i was lisening to me mp3 player and this guy (who looked like mario) sitting next to me out of no where says to me "hey why dont' you get it over with and get a bullet in your head?"
I was like......"What?" he even called me a "baby killer" and that he was in the military once before and that its "hell" etc etc. i just nodded in agreement.... (I was to shocked in this new experience to counter back much; not to mention i did not want any escalation) i think he is just a lieing hippy or a failed combat reject because I asked and he could not name me his unit, if he got a army pension, when he served, or what rifle was he issued, nor he did understand what was a safety. :p he just keep on ignoring those questions as he just contuine on ranting about "how there are babies in the military" and just what your friend said "Guns are evil" what a dick huh? The point is that you will always meet people like these and they simply do not understand that they are damn lucky to be living in a country where you do the right and freedom to bitch and moan about your military.
As i said before its better to have an armed military then no military because in the real world you got Hitlers, Tojos, and Mussolinis and those people are itching for a fight and will not "play fair".
