Intel Core Duo 6300 @1.86 GHz

A Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS that came with the pc.
Windows Vista Home Premium

I have a 3 year old Acer 19" LCD.

I would like to get this monitor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu … mp;subcat=

This is because i dont want the hassle of Widescreen as i play BF2 alot. and it looks amazing and good responce time.

what else could be holding me back, is it my graphics card?

I can play on all medium on bf2 with 1024 x 768 with AA - 2

but it runs very laggy at the start.

Would a new graphics card be in order?

This is what im am looking at while waiting for the 8900 to come out, which i will get for my new pc i will build in a few months.

its not, it doesn't have direct x 10 and as i'm always saying if your going to get a 8800GTS then get the 640mb version its only about £70 for double the value.

if your going to spend money on a graphics card for the future, either wait for them to come cheaper which will take a while for the GTS's especially the 640mb one or just throw more money at it, its pretty much as futureproof as they get if you get the 640 version. have the actual specs of the 8900 been released? as it may be that its dammed close to a superclocked 8800GTS 640 which is what i have. but i bet it'd be about 100-200 more
