Why no posts over what is happening?

Let's see,

In Beirut, there was a prominent anti-Syrian lawmaker assassinated along with some of his family and body guards. this is the SEVENTH anti-Syrian lawmaker killed in the last 2 years. The bombing injured innocent bystanders as well. Hmmmm....funny no post about it here.

In Gaza, the Islamic militant group, Hamas, has attacked and killed its own people in in-fighting between Fatah and Hamas. The Islamic group also shot and killed a man participating in a non-violent, anti-war protest when Hamas fired into the crowd. If Hamas gains control of the Gaza strip, they will have pushed the issue of statehood farther into the hole and Israel may get involved if rocket attacks increase from the Gaza strip, which will likely happen....Hmmm...no posts about it here.

Gee, I wonder why no one is condemning or bringing the point of innocence being killed and warfare aimed at innocent people and killing opponents of their beliefs. Oh....I know why....because it didn't involve America. My bad......I should have realized where I was posting.

Hmmm - funny how every time someone mentions that all the pro-Palestinian people will keep out of their thread one appears, no? I never said I supported the Hamas, neither did serge. I condemn the Hamas for what they do, and wish the Palestinian people had elected better leaders, but simultaneously understand why the voted for the ones they did.
I'm pro-Palestinian, not pro-terrorist.

I'm interested to hear that Islamic Jihad actually tried to intervene and protested against the violence, one IJ leader calling for "peace". Surprised. Even more surprised that it got next to ZERO coverage in the mainstream media (three-second sound bite in ABC (Australian ABC!) News was how I found out btw)

Dude, you are on wrong website to criticise muslims actions. Majority on this forum 120% sure that Syria is only about love, Iran nuclear program is peaceful, Palestinians have nothing to do with terror, and America and Israel is evil....

You are right....I should have put the word Israel in the topic, it would have exploded. A few who responded here didn't get my huge sarcasm, but it is pretty obvious that this topic would remain pretty quiet because there is a lot of hypocrisy flying around this site. I tend to be a reasonable person and can see both sides. I'm not republican or democrat, just want people in power to do the right thing, but that seems almost impossible sometimes. Since I have been on this site, in the short time I have, the DS&T seems to be skewed towards only a few countries all the time. I think you know what I mean.

What the hell does that mean? Surely that sentence is just self contradictory. If someone has power, they are not powerless. You can't have a powerless person with power.

This is exactly my point. If this thread was about America or Israel, it would generate so much more in the way of debate. My post was about innocent people being killed for their beliefs, bystanders being killed in an assassination and a people who just cant get along with themselves and it had nothing to do with America or Israel. My whole point was that I see tons for threads of "Bad America" or the terrorist that some here is really Israel and yet when I post about something that is just as important (even in a sarcastic tone), it gets little or no attention from those who are always posting the constant, daily bashings of you know who.

I, personally see a huge hypocrisy on these forums. If it doesn't involve the U.S. and some of its allies, then it isn't important enough to talk about.....but ...hell... a gitmo prisoner claims he is mistreated and its all over here. I am about fairness and understanding of the whole picture. I can understand where there is an argument for some of the things posted on this site but honestly, some people here need to remove the blinders and extreme focus on certain posts. I have said it before and say it again. Responsibility in this world is on the shoulders of many...not a few and there is PLENTY of blame to go around. Be objective and look at the big picture.
