I remember the first time I played there were alot of really cool coincidents that happened. It seems like they only happened when I began playing, or maybe I was just really excited because...well, really, when you first played bf2 how could you resist having a mental orgasm? It was one of the best days of my life. Anyways I want to hear your cool events. Here's one of mine.

Daquing Oil Field- Just taking a flag, 3 of my friends (which are playing the PCs next to me) decide to gtfo. We hop in the Chinese transport. We take off, and Justin turns the corner. Me and Brandon are in the back, both medics with the classic m16. Tyler is manning the machine gun in the front passenger. A few seconds after we turned the corner, a desert transport comes around the same silo-shaped object. Frag in hand, I toss in panic. I counted off 3 seconds in my head, but the car was past where  I had threw the nade. Not really. The nade shrapneled, and the machine gunner, passenger and driver all died, and the car frame did a flip in the air.

Wake Island- I was on the Chinese team and the U.S. had captured the Beach. I was driving from the airfield and the Commander put up a UAV over the the beach. I noticed there were a few guys trying to sneak up on the side of the airfield. So I drove my car over near the Chinese UAV Trailer, ran the car off the side of the cliff, bailed out, and watched as my car crushed three American soldiers. I couldn't stop laughing.

Sweet.

Mashtuur(bater) City-the team had just taken a flag, so a few guys next to me rushed down the hill toward the next down the hill. They got shot before they got back up the other side. I got up, and everyone there was gone. I popped around the corner of a building the the right with my PKM. Nearly 6 people were all there, reloading, healing, resupplying. Practically a whole squad. I crouched knowing it would reduce my..innacuraccy by half. I fired full auto. They were so confused and the medics kept trying to revive their teamates. By the end I had about 14 kills but then i went back around the corner to hide behind a vent thing and reload. Machine guns take an ass-load of time to reload, and two guys went right past me. Being all hyped up from the excitement, I proned and fired 2 shots at the guy on the left. He died, but the guy on the right came back with his AK and owned me

I was quite late with buying bf2, about 0.5 year after it had been released.
However I got on to a ranked server instantly and I joined a 64 player daquin.

I joined a squad cos I knew you could do that (zomfg I read the friggin manuel) and spawned into a full blackhawk...

squad members all talking over voip, commander yelling at us where we should go..

basically I had no idea what I was doing...seeing all these things moving around everywhere (tanks/cars on the ground, other heli/aircraft wizzing around)
I had the Time of my Life

No bf2 experience after that has come near to the joy back then well except maybe for my first clanwar

Generally, it's when I'm managing to off people with short bursts to the torso or head, popping tanks and transports, spotting things I can't deal with only to watch them be blown up by the attack chopper, and hooking up with random people and forming impromptu squads.
I also like the little things, such as people thanking me for pausing to fix the vehicle they're taxiing me around in, or the tank they just backed over my foot.

And then there's the times when it plays like it SHOULD. Being driven around on top of a tank, flushing out infantry and keeping the AT guys away from the back of the tank, stopping at flags where people dismount and spread out to supress the enemy, or actually finding DEFENDERS.

karkand two guys sitting at the ramp by train accident killing all the noobs on my team so i ran up the ramp jump in behind them and knifed them both in the back. Another cool thing about it was that that gave me my expert knife badge.
