Personally when i find myself defending a CP by myself or with a few ppl i used to use Support. It was good for a high ROF and if i was really outnumbered, i could nade spam.

Recently I have noticed the greatness of being a sniper to defend. I just love using this kit for defending now.

My reasons:
1. Sniper Rifle: kill em before they get close
2. Gaymores: W/o spamming them they are a great tool, the cover another enterance while your busy.
3. Grenades: They definately help whittle down the enimies numbers before they get close.
4. Silenced Pistol: Its fun shooting an enemy and watch them hopping around trying to figure out where you are.

Gaymores used efficiently can cover a huge area, I place them in corners, facing outwards (duh) so by the time they have seen it, its far too late.  Cheeky flag defend points too.

Engineer.  Mines for the armor and a Remington (or the Chinese equivalent) for the infantry.  Just need to hide in an area for a sneak attack.

AT; shotgun is excellent for close-quarters and the missiles can stop vehicles. Perfect combination for defending a flag.

Engy is the kit of choice for me. You know why? Because when I'm defending a check point I don't need gaymores, nades or a silenced pistol. All I need for defending a flag is my TANK. The end.

SF, sniper, and support.  Support because of the awsome defensive gun, sniper because of the clays and the ability to defend from far away.  Special
forces most of all though.  Just stick a single c4 on the flagpost and no matter how many people attack it, it doesn't matter because they all get blown up.  Then you just replace the c4.  You can singlehandedly stop waves of people like this, as long as you have c4.

Anti tank, if you've got a DAO & some form of resupply near you, you'll dominate that CP. Plus rockets are the win.

the greatest defense is the best offense
therefore the best offense makes the greatest defense.  If they can't get to your flag because you are taking all of their flags and killing them all, then no need to defend

IMO medic, because you can heal yourself.  Given knowledge of the proper strategies it isn't that hard to take out a 6 man squad attacking a flag as medic

sniper. put clays in the flag zone and wait for the squad to enter the kill zone. I try to set the clays so dead body (a) doesn't set off the 2nd clay until he gets revived, then i hopefully get his medic buddy and nades for the rest.
