Okay, for mine, take the average Australian prices which somebody else will post for me...

Add 25% to the cost of the foodstuffs and petroleum and about 30% to the video game thing.

Except you can't buy PC games here. Well, you can but rarely. There is no cinema.

The other stuff is normal. Except the net service is shit.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

LIST OF GOODS:
-CAN OF COKE (12 OZ = 355 ML)     $0.84 to $1.26 depending where you get it, $3-4 for a 6pack in supermarkets I think
-GASOLINE - PREMIUM (1 GALLON = 3,78 LTS)     $4.10
-BIG MAC (NOT THE COMBO)     $3.22   last time i bought a big mac I bought 2 and it came to NZD9.20 I think
-BOTTLE OF MILK - AVERAGE (1 GALLON = 3,78 LTS)     1 & 2 Litre bottles here.  $3.96/gallon at 1L bottle price, $2.64/gallon at 2L bottle price
-CINEMA TICKET (AVERAGE)     $10.50 adult, $8.40 student, $5.60 child/senior citizen, specials on some days
-NEW PC VIDEOGAME (AVERAGE)     $70
-BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS SERVICE (2,5-10 GB MONTHLY)     I pay $58.10 per month for a landline + internet (4megabit cable, 10GB download cap)  Landline is $21 of that
-CELL PHONE PLAN (UNLIMITED FREE MINUTES MONTHLY)     Unlimited minutes is WAY fucking expensive.  I pay $42/month for 20 minutes national, 90 internation, 600 SMSs and 10 MMSs
-CABLE TV (AVERAGE MONTHLY PLAN INCLUDING THE BASIC AND PREMIUM CHANNELS)     $49/month for landline + cable, landline is $21 of that.  There is a satellite TV service also, provided by Sky.  Costs are similar.

Comms in New Zealand suck a fat hairy donkey dick.  Not because of tech, but because of greedy companies.  We have a near-monopoly situation with big players trying to keep the little ones out, thus reducing competition.  Telecom is starting to go ahead with ADSL2+, so telstra (yes you aussies, we have them here to, but they're the "good guys" on this side of the ditch ) are simply flicking their cable speeds up to a max of 25 meg to compete.  Telstra own a cable network which covers 10-15% of urban NZ.  Add in that we're sparsely populated for our size; about the same as England & Ireland but with only 4 million people, and companies just don't like investing in infrastructure.

Other stuff:
A crap dozen beers: $6.30-$8.40 (better than budweiser )
An average dozen: $8.40-$11.20
A good dozen: $10.50-$14
An average bottle of vodka (1L/33.8Oz): $24.50
A 700ml (23.6Oz) of 42 Below (the vodka in my sig): $35 - this stuff is fucking top shelf, I shit you not!  If you can try it I recommend manuka honey flavour
A decent bottle of wine: $7-$17.5 - you can get some REALLY good cheap wines here.  My favourites are Savignon Blanc for whites, and Merlot for reds.  The french, I am told, despise us for our quality without history

Dinner tonight: (cheeseburgers, making for others, Trailerpark boys theme )
8-pack of burger buns: $1.75
8-pack of burger patties (beef): $4.20, about 1kg/2.2pd worth
3 onions: $0.56

Tonight's booze:
10-pack of McKenna bourbon & cola premixes: $14
15-pack of Macs Gold (in my sig): $14 (mates rates ), normally $17.5 - this is a fucking nice lager, goes well with anything!
