and damn those c2d have 2 X 4MB cache or am I wrong???

wow
I can't find an FX-60 or a 4800+ on Newegg.

I did see an Opty 185, which would do nicely, but still quite pricey when you consider its performance against Intels stuff.

6420 is the best for the money. Will OC to be faster than anything AMD currently produce.

Fair enough, it's your money.

Seems crazy to me to pay 2 or 3 tmes as much for a CPU, when you can get the same performance with a bit of tweaking - but each to their own.

$240 for an Opty 185. I'd get that over an FX-60 personally.

On Newegg you can pick up a new P65 chipset based Mobo, E6420 and 2GB of decent DDR2 PC6400 Memory for less than $400. I'd do that.

I was like that, it's not bad as long as you've got good cooling (Unlike me 80mm fans are so out of date)

And new RAM.

It's a step in the right direction though. 939 is pretty much dead, as is DDR.

It would be most cost effective to buy that Opty. Long term you might find it better to go for a C2D though.

Your decision (and it's a tough one).

I think ill go with the operaton since most say it has better durability then the FX60 and I dont feel like buying a new mobo right now

ill give it some time and maybe try to overclock it too

Hey, do you think you could help me out over here real quick
http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=77060&p=3

I'm not sure if my PSU could support an 8800GTX/Ultra, I currently have an 8800GTS, and it's running fine, but I wasn't sure since they are different.... I know wattage wise it's fine, but idk about amps and voltages... Thanks...
