in all of the guides it tell s me that u have to press the ~ button to bring up some box but when i try and press it nothing comes up also what program do u open battlerecorder files with???????
The ~ key is just the default, maybe you changed it?
Its not the ~ button, its the "grave" button, which is the button next to 1 on the keyboard (and not 2)empty-07 wrote:

You open battlerecorder files using BF2, just open the game, and go to community, then you will find them in there
Ok I can watch the videos in bf2, but are there ways to go to a single person or vehicle and follow them for a little while and move the camera around them? or is it all free roam? and also is there a command to remove all the names, hud, etc from the screen while watching? thx in advance

To watch players, I think you press T, and select "Player Cam", you can then use the "T" button again to switch players

You can only watch Battlerecorder Files (called demos) in BF2. You need to download a video capturing program (Fraps, Game Cam) and record video, then you can make your movie with windows movie maker or just watch the recorded video with windows media player.empty-07 wrote:
