Was Duke Nukem Forever released?
My mind hurts...
(yes realise this is an old topic). the joke with this post (if you havnt noticed 99.325708% of pollux's posts are jokes) is that duke nukem forever is basically canceled. they said they were going to make it but there has been no word on it.
on a more serious note: if you really did like the duke nukem games, get the game prey. i tried the demo and i really liked it and its made by the people who created duke nukem

It was like a year ago. It was a magical day. School had just finished for the time being and I was in a good mood. Why you might ask? Because I was about to go on a journey, an expedition if you will. I was going to reserve my copy of Duke Nukem Forever at a local video game store near my school. I proclaimed to a friend of mine what I was about to do and he said "Are you on crack? That game was canceled." However I ignored his insults and moved forward while saying "If you really feel that way, why are you following me". I walked along an incredibly busy street with the haze of car exhaust tickling my nose. Early in the day I had pulled an all nighter to finish a project my teacher gave me an extension on so I was extremely tired but nothing could stop me that day. I was like a machine, a man on a mission. I would not let anything get in my way. My mouth salivating once I entered the mall I bee-lined straight to the video game store. Passing the precious Pizza Nova next to the food court which I consider to be my life blood, I walked more rapidly. My foot glided over the threshold of the video game store, people moving out of my way -- they knew. To stand in front of me at that moment in time would be a date with death like no other. Calmly I said to the clerk "hey, I'm here to reserve a game". For a short while that store was like a little hang out to me and the clerk knew me well. We would spend minutes sometimes hours discussing relevant gaming issues while browsing the used game bin. He answered "hows it going" but I was in no mood to talk. The urge to finish the transaction grew stronger "I would like to put a $5 deposit for…
--- DUKE NUKEM FOREVER ---"
He looked at me with an evil smile almost scoffing "that game is never going to come out you know" I clenched my fists below the counter where he could not see and grinded my teeth just a little bit "listen, make an entry in your database with my name and number for this game" looking at me with a dead look he said "tell ya what, I'll do it for free heh" then I said "good then I'll be on my way cya". While leaving the store I felt reassured my copy of Duke Nukem Forever will be waiting for me. My friend taunted me as I left the store "hahha you're retarded" then I declared "yes retarded… RETARDED LIKE A FOX!"
