I came across this server a while ago, and in the BF2 Manager text it advertised the positions of admin for $10 a month or something crazy like that. Why would anyone pay to be an admin? It's crazy.
It wasn't even like it was a clan server and the admin, who had been checked out and deemed responsible for the position was choosing to invest money because he loved the server so much. It was a case of, if you pay this, then you can have the power to kick/ban people who are 'hacking', or what is less commonly known in admin terms as 'better than me'. It was a ff off 64 player 24/7 karkand server after all. I mean you could have got anyone being admin......you know the sort that just ban the entire enemy team....just to annoy people.
Anyhow it seems a bit strange, even more stranger if anyone actually paid for the privilege. Not sure if the server still exists but I know it was a favourite of lord of weed when he was 'the man'.
