A while ago a thought I had a virus that I couldn't detect with anything.  My moniter looked like it had zoomed into 1/4 of my screen and thecolours looked funny some inverted some not.  So I formatted + restored my pc with recovery disks and all was fine. 

After running scan disk everything seams fine untill I restart and everything is funny.

Any Ideas????

What kind and how old are your monitor and video card?

I've seen this when a card is faulty or when the drivers are a bad version or not installed correctly.  I've also seen it when a CRT monitor is starting to go because the tube can't sync correctly.  If you have a CRT does it make popping noises when it changes resolutions?  And does it take a long time to switch resolutions (a lot of flashing)?

Sound might be prob with drivers did notice the nvidia icon go off my screen but didnt think about it.
