Have a black screen when you boot your computer?
Monitor complaings about havin the wrong resolution?

Look no further!

My brother had this problem and we came up with an idiot proof way to change resolution with out getting the monitor to show anything!

Here's the formula:

1. Move you're mouse to the corner where you know there are no icons and then move it slightly towards the center
2. Right click
3. Pres up once (If you have some extra options when clickin on the dektop, you miht have to press more times)
4. Hit enter to get to the properties
5. Hit Shift + Tab
6. Pres right 4 times
7. Press Tab once
8. Press left a few times
9. Hit enter and watch your screen come alive!

I hope this is of help to someone!

Owned.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

we have a winner. Though I admit I've done the way of the OP several times
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Doesn't work always.
Atleast in this case it didn't change the resolution and I don't remember safe mode ever changing my resolution either.
