If the commander is still alive somehow Squadleaders should be allowed to spawn on him, so the game last's a fraction longer.
Thats actually a good idea imo.BushRanger007 wrote:

or the commander could get up out of his hidding place and try to cap a flag....
I don't think that would work, because during the game, why would u wanna spawn on some guy hiding in your home base?
I like the idea for squadleaders respawning but most commanders just camp which I think is pointless. I think something should be done bout camping commander such as if they dont increase their kills or teamwork score within 5mins they are no longer commander and someone else can be.
Anyway how bout squadleaders spawning at other squadleaders? maybe not all of them like you could only spawn at another two squadleaders? What you think?

You must be one of those people who flies jets while commanding.
Hate that type of commander Flaming_Maniac. Once had someone come onto my server & try flying the attack chopper (No Gunner) & command at the same time. I said Get out, you cant comman & fly at the same time. He replied that he could & that I was a noob if I couldnt, he then proceeded to attempt to prove me wrong by placing a UAV while flying & subsequintly crashed... oh dear I thought... one of those people
ROFL, nice story
yeah thats a good idea,

That just stupid, comanders that run around trying to kill and drive things not to mention fly, just die too much then the team has longer periods of time not able to get arty or uav or any of that sort of thing. comanders should always be hinding in a corner, in the comander screen the whole round. Help their team to win.I think something should be done bout camping commander such as if they dont increase their kills or teamwork score within 5mins they are no longer commander and someone else can be.
Who?Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Me, nope, I am infantry.
Do you rotate squad leader or just die? The affectiveness of a squad is to ensure squad leader rotate's in such a manner that they in time push and drive themselves to another flag. Not to many do this which wastes your personal time and game time, and it is annoying as well..UberRanger wrote:

The question I am asking is to get the game to continue on, instead of a early win, I been in matchs of 300-0 wins due to idiots playing like babies, could the implementation of Squad leaders respawning on the lazy commander, be a option.
Not a bad idea.
thats a good idea, but on the commander situation, i dont commanders should jus sit in one spot the whole match, if an enemy is takin a base ur camped out then they should defend it and take it back if necessary and also it still helps the team if u help them take some bases, im not sayin run around like infantry but dont jus sit in one spot thats jus dumb, and its dumb to fly sumthin and command or drive a tank or sumthin that hurts a team cuz the commander will have to stop a lot to do the commands but them goin out a couple of times is fine by me
Yeah, I guess that's the only issue, these blokes lazyness. I mean how easy is it to tank or APC in one area that has to flags you own.DeAThSniPer[CoD] wrote:

The commander as a spawn point for squad leaders is not a bad idea. A squad could very quickly redeploy as they die to defend a raided base that way. I think the games might actually last much longer with this idea.
As to the comments in later posts: lol
Everyone should hide or duck or something this ain't Napolean out there you're facing.
In games of teams with more than 15-20+ people a good Commander will do far more to win the game by staying in his command mode unless a dire emergency exists. I don't know of any good commander who will just sit and let his location be taken so don't change a game because of bad commanders. Some commanders arent that good so they can go cap flags and do whatever and make me wait for arty or a resupply crate until its too late..
Squad Leaders need to take more responsibility for ALL flags and assets because the combat power is under their direct control. They shouldn't just stat farm at the hotel.
If all skills are equal how many single players do you know who can stop 3 SF soldiers from capping or destroying assets? It's not because he sux (well maybe it is) it is mainly because most people can't do 1v3 let alone 1v3 + UAV tasking,....oh damn shoot, chuck grenade, duck.... Arty target, task squad...crap! run, grenade wound, shoot shoot, shoot damn shotgun!... repair UAV, drop resupply crate to squad....damn no ammo bunny hop, break knife, throw wrench....get C4ed by 3 SF!!!
I have not seen a good full time flying commander yet. When they pilot they are most interested in targetting and kills. The result is a high scoring pilot seems like a noob commander because no arty or supplies are in place, UAV is spotting air strike targets not close battle and I have not yet seen a flying commander give an order or do Satellite recon. Not at all good - they should resign and focus on one job and support the team.
In smaller games the commander certainly needs to be active. Somewhere between 12-16 players per team the Command Value shifts from direct action to indirect action. Direct (less people) <----> Indirect (more people). At 10 v 10 a Commander is worth 10% of direct firepower, at 32v32 <3% and thats without counting commander controlled assets.
At 32 v 32 If the commander moves at all he is probably wasting time. A commander grabbing an empty vehicle so enemy raiders won't take it is cool.

Agree with you there 100% OpsChief
when I command the only time i move is to defend my flag...thats it On a smaller map or one with les ppl i only got to the front if we start to lose. Otherwise stay in the rear with the gear. I hate to see when a commander is in a apc or tank and etc it drives me nuts. A good commander with the sat screen can really help the team win. Uav and supply helps the team, arty not so much but...

It makes sense I suppose, but then people would joind the squad, spawn, leave the squad so others could join. It'd take away the fact that you don't have any bases left.

It would make for some good last kills for the winning team, just enuff maybe to get that medal or ribbon.
On a side note I cant stand it when a commander takes a vehicle of the teams, because they usually neglect thier job then, even a jeep or buggy can tip the tide sometimes.
Agreed though in small games you really dont have a choice, thats why I play 64 players

See here in Australia we got providers that still keep there 64 player servers running, like last night for example I was in SF, and I basically had to flick from Commanding to joining squad to help them cap once I died.
I should have just left the commanding part, but we really needed UAV and ART.
Just looking at Alternative ideas, to the issue, I am not a lazy ass commander I work with people and that is where the fun happens.
Annoys the crap out of me to the point of abusing the idiots who just sit on there butt and sm0ke dope whilst commanding, and then you loose.

i is a good idea.
i think that the whole team should be able to spawn on the comander when ever they want, normal spawn rules apply. he could be a yellow icon on the map. also if u squad leader is dead and all the points are occupied by the other team u should be allowed to spawn and any squad leader that is still alive.

The only point I guess to it is, what would the ticket outcomes end up?
O-O Tie.
O-O Tie.
Ok added the point of, being able to talk to other squad leaders via commander.
How can this be possible, maybe a special key dedicated to comms.
Thought I guess it is totally not possible.
