I think, that DICE messed it up, because when you look on the ingame cobra and compare it, with actual pictures of the ah-1z viper, you can see that the wings of the viper are much longer than those of the super cobra - but the super cobra doesn´t have four rotorblades.
so the ingame cobra might be a product of bad research of the game designers.

btw. who sets up the callname? for example: the a10 is called thunderbolt and warthog - which one is right? is only one right?
i still stick to the name cobra, because the chopper is another modification of the original cobra series. and the callsign viper might be just the projects name - but the way it gets called by the majority might be another...

The exhausts of the AH-1Z on BF2 are vertical, but on ArmA they're horizontal, and I'm pretty sure its the same type and model of chopper. Also which designation's the Whiskey Cobra?

Thunderbolt II. The original thunderbolt is the P-41 from WW2. As the poster above said, the Warthog is just the nickname.
