It seems as if most players from South Africa like Sharqi? 17 players in a row on the leader board have Sharqi as their favorite map. Wtf? Is there any particular server there that plays 24/7 Sharqi?

They may get horrible lag when they go onto servers in Europe in America so they must all mostly play on the same server that runs either 24/7 sharqi or Sharqi mostly.

Interesting observation, especially for me, cos i play in South Africa.

The reason the top couple having Sharqui as our favourite map..........well, we have 3 main servers that most South African players play on.........The vannilla server, which has every map but Karkand, Mashtuur and Jalalabad, an Urban server, which has the 3 previously mentioned maps plus sharqui, and then we have an Urban Infantry only server, which has all the urban maps, plus Wake and Shonghua.

So, the reason for it is because Sharqui runs on all our servers, and because it is a fucking cool map

I know then I suggested. But yeah I understand now I guess RD and yes Sharqi is my favorite map in BF2 for Infantry and tanking. Its so nice its like jungle/city and very awesome sniping spots that few people know of. I would play it more but their arent many 24/7 Infantry servers of it where I can get good ping.

Not the mention rounds of sharqi traditionally last longer then those of karkand and jalalabad.

Hmmmm .... not sure if South Africa counts as a 3rd World Country. Maybe 2nd World Country, or 2.5th World.

And Sharqi rocks, especially on IO. The flag stations are so well set up, and MEC able to attack from so many angles, that the battle rolls on far easier than Karkand. I had a Sharqi game last weekend where as US we lost every cap, then 2 seconds later someone capped the north flag, we all poured back on, and went to to only lose the game by about 6 points. Great game ...
