The United States military is the agressor and is killing innocent civilians, not the terrorist with their car bombs or suicide vests.

i understand the sarcasm of the original post.

however, to the actual topic.  Terrorists have one ultimate goal and that is to bring the entire world under the banner of islam.  Their immediate goals (as even bin Laden has stated) is to expel infidels and foreigners from the arab penninsula and return the region to a caliphate with sharia as the law of the land. 

Their next step of course is to extend this to the rest of the world.  In fact, this is already happening through breeding and non-integration with non-muslim population.  Look at Europe these days?  I hear Mohammad is second most popular name in London or something.  WTF?

In the middle ages it was "Convert or Die"...you only have to look at the history of Turkey and Spain to understand what I mean.

actually they are not breeding 'with' us.  if you read carefully, i made it a point to mention non-integration into the majority culture of their adopted land.  however, with > 5-10 kids per family and normal populace at much less than that, it's only a matter of time before the cultural climate will indeed change.  should we stop it?  i didn't say that, just saying it's something to think about. 

compounding this fact of breeding is the drain it will have on the country's resources unless these people are actually putting into the pot.

Never have. The only nation they have ever threatened in their entire history of statehood has been Israel. Why would they start now? While I agree with you to an extent, I do believe that it is too late to back out, and that we can't because then we'll be blamed for the massacre to follow.  I think that while our opinion in the world will likely continue to drop as long as we're in Iraq, if we can get it to a state of normality then we can go around doing the "Told you so thing" and possibly regain some face.  And the UN still wants us there, so it's not entirely our fault (Don't Eat me, I'm kinda nervous about debating against the almight CP)
