thats the one we use here: "10'000.00 CHF" German influenced countries only though I think
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Why don't we title this "how do you write numbers where you live" instead, since it obviously differs. We use option #3 in the US and I've also seen it used that way in the UK and most of Asia, but they write it like option #4 in parts of Europe.

10,000.00

But you aren't supposed to use commas anymore, because if you do, it means that you are separating the entire number.

Like one number is 10, and the other number is 000.00

Personally I think the best way to write it so nobody argues is:

Ten Thousand.

In mathematics its 104 or 10000.00  i would NEVER have used any other way in A level or higher maths.

In writing it may be different 10,000.00 or 10000.00

You see, a comma isn't called comma for nothing. In Europe the comma seperates natural numbers from their decimals, i.e. 33,33 = 33.33 in the US. Furthermore, we needn't set a dot every 3 numbers, but we can. In maths it'd be 10000,00 while in financial issues it's rather 10.000,-

Well, now you may ask why we don't use the dot in maths? Quite simple, the dot symbolized a multiplication (and due to the lousy handwriting it may once be higher and the other time lower), as the "x" is used for cross products of vectors. Erhm, yeah, that's it

10,000.00 just looks a little strange to me as the "unimportant" and tiny dot is not as attracting as the "big" comma. And why the hell would one seperate 1000's in America anyways? Your measuring systems are that f00ked up that almost nowhere there is a multiplication by 1000 for the next bigger unit (at least for miles and feet...)

^^

but if i had to it would be 10,000.00 because a comma sibalises a pause in English which makes sence as you say Ten   thousand
and the . represents an end of sentence (end of the whole number )

If there is nothing after the decimal place, only an idiot would include it. Unless you're using it with a number that is to two decimal places. Even then, you don't need to do it for the above number.

10 000.00 with metric units.

10,000.00 for all non-metric uses.

I know latin countries use periods where the US uses commas, any version is techinically correct.

2) 3) and 5)  are all correct punctuations of ten thousand

the other options should be read as ten thousand, but bad punctuation for
1) and 6) 1million
4) ten
as '.' is a decimal place at zeros and then the commas should be every three up from that even though theres usually no need for them
