i figured the title would grab you.

as most of you know, my diet is well.. who are we kidding, i've never had a diet. i have no care for what i eat (and believe me, i only eat a few things!) on an average day, i would have:

- at least one coffee (black, espresso added usually);
- red meat;
- toast;
- large quantities of coke.

i've been blessed with a high metabolism, which is fine, but what interests me is that i am a lot stronger over the past few days from absolutely no change in eating. 3 days ago, i was unable to lift 30kg weight above my neck, now i can do it 10 times easy. multiple pull-ups and quite a lot more energy. (yes, i know - weak still but..)

i am, rather skinny (to say the least). what food is causing me to have this massive increase in muscle? if i eat more, will i (in theory) become stronger?

- k.

it's because youve made so many threads - every time you create one, you gain the equivalent of 3 weeks of training.

I'm pretty much just like that and have noticed when I work out, there is little consistency in my maxes on certain workouts. I usually just come to the conclusion that I am more tired at one point than the other, so maybe that could be your case as well.

I would imagine the large amount of caffiene you take in would give you an energy boost. Causing you to be more active and increase muscular endurance.

Although if you've drank coke/coffee all the time, i'd have to go with you're body is "changing".

As in ,you know, it's that time.

Once those little hairs stop growing, you will get weak and you belly will pop out on account of those sodas ... you may be blessed with high metabolism, but you are more likely just blessed with youth.

been there for a while - that's what gets me though. obviously i've gotten stronger over the past few months but it is only recently that i can actually see a dramatic improvement, ruling out (or at least partially ruling out) puberty.

@snipy> my caffeine intake is during the day. i don't do a thing during the day, could this be the cause of evening "power" ?
