If you want to feel all validated because you won a league that runs a mod of BF2 then go ahead. But just because you won a league running a mod of BF2 it doesnt make you better at Vanilla BF2 than anyone else here, and after all this isnt a BF2Pro forum, its a BF2 Forum.
PS Sounds like you've got inadequacy issues about people pwning you with unlocks. Please refer to my sig if you're ever wondering what gun to use as medic.
you're kidding, right?
fyi, "xbrandomx" rapes everyone in this thread. and evidently this sharky guy knows absolutely nothing about CAL but is content to sit on the western tip of australia typing his thoughts on the subject for the world to see. heres a hint, look at brandom's signature. u can watch him wrecking most of CAL's current players, not a bad fragvid at all.
bf2pro is better as a game if u ask me, but pubbing is fun and i have to agree the pro pubs wouldnt be very fun if everybody showed up. i still like vanilla pubs when i want easy mode. it would be even easier in pro though because pro pretty much benefits people with good aim and penalizes explosives whores. the only thing i dont like is how they lower the rof on smgs making them crappy. and i much prefer bf2pro scrims to pro pubs. often times you get a few of the best players in CAL stacked up against some random noobs and smurfs and that can get old quickly.
It would be nice if bf2pro was a patch, the game would just be better. and the pro pubs would probably remain cool simply because they are unranked. most of the people saying otherwise havent tried bf2 pro because nobody other than the people joining US leagues ever heard about it.
But I've always noticed that BF2 hitreg gets bad on full 64 player servers. So you could never get that sharp gameplay experience of a 5v5 or 8v8 on the typical all-out pub.

I would just like to discuss one thing with Ez, and one thing only:
"US players practice with BF2pro and are therefore better"
wrong. In regular BF2, your aim has to be far more consistent. This means that in BF2pro, you only need to aim well for a second. in regular BF2, you need to hold on longer. Thus, you need to be able to aim better. the best vanilla players learn the tricks which those who exclusively BF2pro don't. BF2pro is a lot better for competitive play, but you learn more from playing vanilla.
i also agree with this, except your last phrase about actually learning more from vanilla. You say high deviation means consistence, and while that is part of aiming in fps, it isnt all of it. its one skill to hold something in your crosshairs and track it while your random cone of fire slowly kills it, and its another to snap wide numbers of degrees to specific pixels, perfectly click them and then turn another 90 or more degrees to cover or another shot. if the game is about holding flashlights on eachother, then a lot of the skill in fastpaced CQC tactics is lost in the process of mindlessly staring at eachother letting the game decide who is more smooth/lucky with the mouse. I'm making the point that neither mod ultimately teaches you more because both require that you depend on specific skills.
and i'd also like to mention that kajukenbo is better than all those dudes in chaos like simba.
