I heard theres a mod with destructable buildings, anyone know what I am talking about it sounds cool.
Project Reality has destructable enviroment.
Not heard of it for BF2, but the new 360 version of Battlefield has it. Its not multiplayer, as the lag would be mental.
Called Battlefield 2: Bad Company. Linky

That would be intense, and my computer could easily handle it
And it is online multiplayer. Don't be so fucking stupid as to think EA would miss an opportunity like that.motherdear wrote:

Yeah, I was playing PR earlier but I didnt notice anything destructable, what are you talking about.
One of the maps, I don't know what it's called (since I don't have PR), is fully destructible.
Check the PR section, I know there's a few threads about it.

It's called like Helmad Province or something
Yep Project Reality has them. Version 0.5 experimented with them, but 0.6 Basrah has over 50 of them. Some are little shacks, and some are 3 stories high. Nothing better than making a hole in the wall with AT or C4 and than rushing the building (although its usually just for fun).
And it doesnt affect performance at all. Destroyed building has ten times less details than a complete one.

Here is a promo video for 0.5
Guy uses C4 so it destroys the building completely.

B00m!!!
wow... so many definitions of destructible environments... it means that static objects are made of many parts... and they can be destroyed and stay that way... current games have decals(temporary damage) that goes away after a short period of time to avoid lag... With stronger procs/vid cards and a lot of ram... games will be more realistic...
Love is the answer
You don't even have to do that. I found a house, piled all the C4 in the middle and pressed the trigger. All the walls blew outwards in a shower of rubble, and the sound of the rubble tinkling was insane.zeidmaan wrote:
