Dunno, if i remember HL 2 right. All pressing Q does is change to your previous weapon.

It's because you "acquired" it. The developers are pissed, so they are punishing you by putting a damn Q on your reticle.
I was thinking about mapping for HL2, downloaded the sdk last night. I hope it isn't too complicated. I was an uber-wiz at Unrealed.
