As we all know america wants to install a missile defence system in Europe id say to protect allot of countrys from the threat of possible attacks
which in this day and age is so un-predictable...Can we honestly pin point and say the countrys who are 100% side by side with one another because things in the middle east are allmost at boiling point and with so many countrys involved each has there own rules im british and i can say i feel that our country is not directly under threat apart from muslim extremists in our country ......but yet cant help feel that countrys like china/russia havent shown there cards completly in this world and if there ever was a world war 3 which i hope never happens whos side would they take because nuclear content has arrived on this planet in way of destruction one can only assume that yes..they are for defence purposes but one day will be used to unleash hell in a part of the world-

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that US plans to build a missile defence system in eastern Europe would raise the risk of "mutual destruction".

Poland and the Czech Republic are keen to allow the US to site missile bases and radars on their territory.

Mr Putin spoke a day after threatening to halt involvement with a treaty limiting conventional arms in Europe.

"The threat of causing mutual damage and even destruction increases many times," he told Russian media.

"This is not just a defence system, this is part of the US nuclear weapons system," the Itar-Tass news agency quoted him as saying after meeting Czech President Vaclav Klaus.

Russia has test-launched a new intercontinental ballistic missile, Russian military officials say.

The launch took place at the Plesetsk cosmodrome in northern Russia at 1420 (1020 GMT) on Tuesday.

The missile, called RS-24, can be armed with up to 10 warheads and was designed to evade missile defence systems, the Russian defence ministry says.

Russia has complained that US plans to base parts of an anti-missile system in central Europe threaten its security.

The Americans maintain that their system is not directed at the Russians.

The US wants to deploy interceptor rockets in Poland and a radar base in the Czech Republic to counter what it describes as a potential threat from "rogue states" such as Iran and North Korea.

The Russian test missile successfully struck its target 5,500km (3,400 miles) away on the far eastern Kamchatka peninsula, the Russian Strategic Missile Forces said.

The statement said the missile would replace two ageing ICBM systems - the RS-18 and RS-20, known in the West as the SS-19 Stiletto and SS-18 Satan, respectively.

Russia has always wanted to protect it's borders and beyond. They always want a bufferzone (such as the old iron curtain) and having missles in Poland (and perhaps Ukraine) will defeat that. They suffered a great deal against the nazi's and even earlier throughout history and don't want to keep repeating that. Putin will probably have much support and perhaps he is playing the tune of the countries protector to appease the voting public.

Russia will always be on its' own side and backup China when it can as China is a huge buyer of Russian tech and oil.

Denmark.
Seems to me they have alot of conflicts yet to be solved.
Russia is imo right to ask why the defence shield only should defence some european contry and not others. and still have misslies located to defence any attacks from russia. Russia is offical no treath to EU or the US.
as i see it US dont trust the Russian goverment. so they only wants to build it where Us have allied they trust)
US should at lest offer russia a partdeal so russia would have a saying.

i should mention i have only heard little about this, so i dont know how long they are in the process of building the defence shield. or finding a solution.

soory for any miss-spelling or bad grammer.

No i agree i dont think either the british goverment or united states trusts russia.  britain had spies in russia not to long ago they caught some of our secret recording equipment that was hidden in a rock in the snow and it was all over the news. yes LET THEM BUILD THE DEFENCE ! i tottaly agree we need it so do other countrys , even usa to protect its intrests abroad, soley being usa handles allot more confrontational situations abroad.like IRAN with the nuclear tests they detonated underground 100% because usa officials found leaks of high radiation coming through the rocks at the test site which at 1 point was very high then simmerd down.allso usa had geographic land readings to say an extreme exsplosion of some sort took place.thank god we have scientists -for the right purposes.there bomb was
plutonium-fueled, implosion triggered, bomb of North Korean design and fissile material. The North Korean enriched uranium bomb will have a mix of Iranian fissionables and world market pre-enriched uranium feed stock. In either case the Iranian test sites will be infested with North Korean technicians North Koreas nukes will be tested in Iran to give China plausible deniability concerning its role in these matters.
its role in these matters.

so...............................we cant trust no one heres my trustometer ? :-)  1=dont trust them at all              10=trust worthy
FEEL FREE TO RATE THE COUNTRYS U TRUST !!!!
