I have created a server using the Bf2serverlaucher program found in the Bf2 directory and it works fine, people can join etc but I have no way of admining the server. What do I need to do to be able to use Bf2cc or something like that to admin the server?

BF2cc is the best way to admin a srver, but is this a local server or a rented server

rcon login
if you have it set up correct, it should log you in as server admin if its from your machine.
also you will need to learn the commands
e.g they all have to be done in the console
unless you set your server up with the bf2cc daemon and modmanager scripts
then you can have IGA.

The server is running off my PC and I tried the rcon login and it doesn't work. How do I go about setting it up with Bf2cc? I don't have any login details like IP, port, user name and password. I'm guessing the IP and port will be the same as the server but I have no User details. Do I need to make a text file containing these details and add them to one of the Bf2 directories?
