Depends on big "the public" is. They probally gross way more for console games than pc games. Once sales of bf2 dwindle to the level that supporting stats hosting gives them a narrow margin -- it would go away.siciliano732 wrote:
ok, what you people seems to not get and have misunderstood is this:
EA/Dice or coporations that run on money.....WHY WOULD THEY STOP COMPLETE SUPPORT AND DICK OVER THIER PUBLICS IN ORDER TO GET THEM TO TURN TO ANOTHER GAME OF THEIRS!
USE YOUR HEADS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
...just relax and stop bitching and moaning about it...its not goin to help it at all.

yes, i agree. but, my point is that people think the world revolves around them and think that its dead because it gives them something to complain about. also, it is highly doubtful a company is going to just completely stop support and turn its back on its fans and supporters suddenly and expect them (the consumers) to continue to purchase their products.jsnipy wrote:

We need a a community sponsored game stats consortium, that take minimal publisher fees to keep things running.

yes it will die (everything does)... but not this year and I doubt in 2008.
The only way I see it dieing off early is if they do a BF3 that does to BF2 what BF2 did to BF1942
