if you are talking about people with more deaths than kills who are 'good' than look for mikeshw
^^ No *hipthrusts* today?? ^^
I agree with the mikeshw , just look at the graph. ( I usually don't look at others stats)

depends on what kits/vehicles you play most. The key thing is to help your team win, regardless of your K/D ratio. But it is obvious that if you have more kills than deaths in a round, you are helping your team. so that is what I aim for in every round I play.
Right now, my K/D is getting towards 1.10 ( it is at 1.086 to be exact ). But I play a lot of medic and heal and revive people, which also contributes to my team as it saves tickets.
I judge a player by his ability to make the team better, to contribute to the performance of the team, to help the team win essentially.
As has been said before, most people with K/D ratios above 2.0 play a lot of vehicles ( tanks ) and fly a lot.
In the end, it all comes down to which playing style gives you more fun.

It's e z to get more kills then deaths just jump in a vehicle or aircraft. I envy those who has 1000+ kills over there deaths with a weapon.
I consider myself DECENT. I'm not good. I shine in the air. but I'm fairly good/decent on foot. and I'm pretty good in a tank. Sure most of my good KDRs are from AIR(7.04KDR) and tank(5.26KDR). but who gives a crap. I like flying, I've been flying since BF1942.
1.75 KDR (it's been going up about .01 every day) with 14,353 kills, and 8,213 deaths.
My KDRs for my weapons aren't that great... but I know I can hold my own on the ground and I can put my bullet where it's supposed to go. So It's all good.
Weapons above 1.00 KDR:
Assault Rifles
Grenade Launcher
Light Machine Guns
Sniper Rifles
Knife
Explosives
Hand Grenade
Also, over the past few days, my accuracy has been going up, so maybe my KDRs will go up (considering none of them get worse than 0.61, with the exception of the Shock paddles)
Anyways, like I said, I think I'm decent, and KDRs aren't everything. Mainly because think about how long it took you to get better at this game... and by that time you probbaly had a pretty bad KDR... I know I didn't start getting better til about 3k deaths... I think I had 2k kills to make up when I got better just to make my overall KDR an even 1.00.
Stats are a personal thing for you, don't ask other people "do you think I'm good?" It only matters what you think.

SlayThem and B.Schuss are perfectly on track to what this game to me is all about. B - you are identical to my K/D; I started with .27 and now it's 1.10 and I am happy with that (alot of hours put in and no vehicles/padding). But I play alot and now just play and not worry about what other people think. I just hope there is a medic around me.
well my k/d ratio is pretty terrible but it has its reasons, i mean 70% of the time im in a chopper, and ther are not alot of good flyers on the game so they always tell me to fly. and flyers (its a fact) get loads less kills then gunners, especially on sharqi (with a mec-chopper). i dotn wanna be arogant but i think i fly pretty well, so it just depends on how u play not the k/d ratio.

3138 kills against 2011 deaths so it is a start, goal is when I pass 10000 kills I will have a difference of over 5000 kills
well im at 10100 for 6700 and climing, currently at 1.55 kdr, most kills from when i used to tankwhore on karkand, heaps from plane though, im just above 1 with weaps
i've got like 26.000 kills and 5.000 deaths which is a KD of 5,26 - is that good? ;-)
and yes, i'm a vehiclewhore
and yes, i'm a vehiclewhore
That's what I mean about checking the weapon ratio. And overrall Teamwork scores; you could have all these K/D,SPM's but your Capture CP is only 1; Revive is 2, etc...; to me that's not doing your team favors, it's just being selfish.
oh i guess killing 40-80 people in one round helps my team to win *g*
my on-foot kd is 1,17 - so its still positiv
my on-foot kd is 1,17 - so its still positiv
killing 40-80 people in a round helps. But I can tell you I've seen plenty of rounds where 1 person kills 60 enemies and still loses the game because they spent all their time spawncamping while their team got hosed in the field.
What's the definition of a good player? ....................... Just because he has a good k/d ratio? I believe it isn't. A good player for me is a good teamplayer who helps winning a round.
if the own team is so crappy that they can't even hold one lousy flag (and believe me i saw this a lot of times) you can do whatever you want - you will loose - whether i'm in a plane or on the ground - BF is a team game - it's not the job of a single person to do everything
edit: to ReVmAn: what helps winning a round? a guy who can fly a jet, making a lot of kills, defending flags, take out the whoring enemy blackhawk or plane - or a guy without skill who occupies the jet just flying around and doing nothing but keeping himself in the air?

should I be proud of this "Grenade Launcher Attachment- time 06:46:07 K/D1.40
Not the latter But it has nothing to do with k/d ratio if someone is a good player or not. I agree, someone with a k/d > 1.0 is doing better than me when it comes to k/d ratio But maybe i'm helping the team winning by playing as a medic and not worry about my k/d ratio ...edit: to ReVmAn: what helps winning a round? a guy who can fly a jet, making a lot of kills, defending flags, take out the whoring enemy blackhawk or plane - or a guy without skill who occupies the jet just flying around and doing nothing but keeping himself in the air?
Do you know how to fly? If not, practice on single player, and whore tanks/APC until you can fly. Otherwise, hop in an attack chopper and go for it. Or you can be someone's gunner. Just make sure you keep your eyes open (it took some time for me to spot guys on the ground quickly) and learn how to use the TV missile.Zaius1000 wrote:

Should i whore tanks/apvs/planes/choppers?

depends on how many total kills you have and how what you do in game. do you run around and heal people, do you play anti tank primarily, are you an engineer. if your focus isn't really killing than having a 1:1 or close to it is fine.
If your focus is combat than you're probably slightly above average. I think you're right when you said most people have less than a 1:1 ratio, which would mean having a 1:1 ratio makes you above average. Does it make you good? Probably not "elite" but then again a lot of people with really great ratios get em through flying planes, using primarily armor, or gunning in a blackhawk. Not to put those down but those acts will inflate your ratio beyond pure combat ability. So there are a lot of variables that go into detirmining just what that means in your case.

Right....... I got more death than I've got kills....
So you'll all probably call me bad.....
Well let me say that I am so far one of the few players in the game that care more about the team than their own k/d ratio...
Yes, I confess. I am a teamplayer, I give my teammates support in battle when they need it. I can't stand skulking behind corners whilst my teammates get shot.... YES I AM CRAZY.......

You can have a good KDR while helping your team. It's called playing smart. Use tactics instead of running out in the middle of the battlefield likea chicken with your head cut-off. If you see a soldier fall in an arty strike.. WAIT. Don't go running in after him immediatly.. it will only cost your team 2 tickets instead of 1. Kill the enemy before reviving the fallen. etc etc.DocZ wrote:

amen to that brother...cohen1976 wrote:
most off the people with a K/D ratio above 2.00 are just plane/tank whores, nothing to do about skil imo
That's strange, because when I look at your stats it says you have a K/D ratio of 1.90.stryyker wrote:
it just means that you get, well, more kills than deaths
i just rolled over to a 2.00 K/D Ratio, so i stand at 11,000 deaths and 26,000 kills
