i wonder, i'm pretty much a tech n00b but i was wondering, do you guys think that these problems could be associated with the new patch coming out? i mean, maybe EA is updating their servers or something and it's causing people to have problems

maybe not, but it was just a thought

Stupid shitty PB, I've complained they best had fix it soon.

Well, I reinstalled and had joy for about a day after shutting of my firewall (ZoneAlarm). Its gone bad again... I'll try some of the other things suggested... sorry about the double posts, I think refreshing the page to often is causing it.

if youre having problems with processes running in the background go to a search engine and do a search for Enditall, this program manages and locks needed processes plus gives you the option to close unneeded tasks, I do it before I run a game everytime.  Works like a charm, but remember if you bypass the locks and shut down a process it needs you may be fighting for a while to get your comp working right again.  So if it shows locked, dont bypass it!

be sure to write 'pb_writecfg' aswell - to save the changes

Or you could just terminate all processes with the 'owner' username...

Other than checking to see if any point along the route to your server is having problems, I might suggest posting/asking other users of the same service (i.e. TS) and see if anyone has experienced the same problems.
I play all the time now using team speak, since I joined up with the clan I am now in.  Every once in a while I have a bad lag spike, but then so does everyone else on the server so I pretty much know it is the server.  I have not had a problem with team speak running the same time I am playing the game.
