EDIT: Just want to know who has the Antec case? Is it noisy?

I'm building a new pc. The dvd drive and hdd will come from my old pc.

My questions:

Why is the ram so cheap? I have seen 3200 ram thats more exspencive.

Are there any compatability issues?

What components have I missed?

Heres the stuff I think I need.

GPU

CPU - does it come with a fan and heatsink?

yer tis all good,

the reason some RAM  is more expensive is because of the timings and the brand.

for example

4-4-4-12 is not as good as something like

3-5-5-15 ( if that timing is right )

but to answer the question, yes its all compatable

edit: yes the cpu comes with a heatsink/fan just not a good one

go for an aftermarket fan, if you overclock you will get better results.

timings, is how long it takes to procesess the required action

a lower timing means that its quicker to procesess.

obv the high the timing the longer its going to take

its to do with how quick the hardware communicated with each other.

you will have no probs with the ram you have chose.

its resonably fast ( 800hmz ), it is the fastest for that pricerange

unless u want to spend tons on something like the corsair dominator which isnt really worth it really..

but that explains, in a basic how it works.

That's not true. Well, it is true - but not in the context he was talking about, Corsair is an expensive brand anyway.

The reason he's seen more expensive PC3200 RAM is that more DDR2 RAM is currently being produced, which lowers production costs, which means it is cheaper than DDR RAM.

As for the build, flashy components, looks fine. I've got that exact GPU, OCs pretty well.
